CBL Conference Preview – North East

CBL season is about to tip off in the North East – we had a look at the ins and outs and who is set to impress ahead of the 2017/18 season.

Seymour have the North East Men’s title team intact as they look to complete the highly revered three-peat.

Nipping at their heels are the Shepparton Gators, who after a dramatic one-point loss to Seymour have added the highly potent threat of Matt Bartlett to an already strong outfit.

Wodonga have added veteran punch with the return of big man Josh McKay which could see them return to a finals position after last year’s eighth place finish.

The Women’s North East Conference is wide open with all teams making a case for favourite status. Wodonga, the runner up in last years grand final, have lost some leading players but still have quality from top to bottom on their roster. Wallan will have a great chance to play for a CBL title as they enter with their most talented team since they entered the league.
