2021 Country Jamboree cancelled

Basketball Victoria has made every attempt to conduct the highly popular Country Jamboree in 2021, but unfortunately, due to the uncertainty around the ongoing COVID-19 situation and border closures around the Echuca-Moama region, the 2021 Country Jamboree has been cancelled.

We recognise the importance of running an alternative event to the Country Jamboree for 2021 as the event plays a critical role in the High Performance pathway for under-12 Country Victorian athletes.

Basketball Victoria will now provide two Under-12 Talent Identification Camps held at Ballarat Sports and Events Centre, Ballarat on Monday 20 September and Tuesday 21 September.

These events will play host to 120 girls on the Monday and 120 boys on the Tuesday. Eligible top-age athletes will be selected from the Regional Under-12 Skills Days to be held across regional Victoria on 21-22 August.

These events are not possible without the involvement of a number of incredible volunteers who donate their time and efforts to supporting Victorian basketball. We’d like to thank them for their patience as we worked through all possibilities.

We look forward to returning to Echuca in 2022 for the Country Jamboree but in the meantime, we wish the very best of luck to all athletes attending the upcoming Regional Under-12 Skills Days.
