About the Max Bowman Memorial Shield

Almost from the formation of the Victorian Country Basketball Council in 1967; the late Max Bowman played an important part in its activities as both a Regional Supervisor and as Assistant Secretary to the Council.

Max passed away in 1977 and to perpetuate his memory, the Country Council introduced the Max Bowman Memorial Shield; a perpetual award presented annually to the most successful Club competing in the Victorian Country Junior Club Championships and now the BVC Junior Domestic Championships.

The Memorial Shield will be awarded to the Club which obtains the most points on the following basis;
