CBL 2021/22 Team Nominations Open

Team nominations for 2021/22 Country Basketball League (CBL) are now open!

The CBL competition will reignite this Spring with all conferences returning to the court to battle it out from October 2021 to February 2022.

Teams from four conferences, North-West, North-East, South-West and Gippsland, will enter with the ultimate goal of being named a conference Champion.

The season opening round will take place from 8-10 October 2021. This season also sees the re-introduction of the State (All Conference) Finals Weekend, which will be contested by the champion teams of each conference from 12-13 February 2022.

CBL Manager Matt Royal said the upcoming season will reflect what the league is all about, with teams from every end of Country Victoria.

“It’s exciting to see CBL returning to its normal structure this season after the shortened season earlier this year due to the Covid-19 Pandemic,” Royal said.

“To have the support from associations after this pandemic and to be able to re-introduce the crowning of a State champion for our senior competition is just incredible.

“Our CBL competitions provides an elite opportunity for Country associations and athletes to compete against one another in the spirit of local competition, celebrating the passion and energy of country sport.”

Team nominations must be submitted by Sunday 8th August 2021.

All Basketball Victoria affiliated country associations are eligible to nominate to compete in the Country Basketball League. Nominations may also be accepted from interstate country associations at the discretion of the league.
